Welcome to ORCAPE
This website marks a new stage: making our work better known, strengthening our closeness to communities and communicating in a more open, modern way that is accessible to all.
Our conviction is simple: development is only sustainable when it places women, men and young people at the heart of the solutions. Through a participatory approach, we make communities the actors of their own development and build bridges between producers, public authorities, technical and financial partners, researchers and businesses.
This website is meant to be a showcase of our actions, a tool for transparency and a space for dialogue. Welcome to the heart of a movement of commitment, innovation and transformation.

Guiding, structuring and supporting rural stakeholders to fight poverty (SDG 1) and promote decent employment (SDG 8).

What we do
Our areas of intervention
6 areas to fight poverty and promote decent employment in rural areas.

Agriculture
Organising producers and facilitating access to improved seeds, in connection with agricultural research (IRAD).

Elevage
Supporting livestock farmers in agro-pastoral areas, with SODEPA.

Environmental protection
Promoting responsible land management, together with traditional chiefdoms and communities.

Education
Strengthening the capacities of managers and local stakeholders, and supporting rural schools.

Water and sanitation
Helping rural communities gain access to water and better sanitation conditions.

Health
Raising awareness, preventing and offering voluntary testing, in particular against HIV/AIDS.
Flagship project
PROTRAMAP — Peasant Mass Transformation Project
Organising village families into “peasant atoms” (household units) to facilitate their access to resources and markets.

Launch of PROTRAMAP
Maturation of the project and registration of the first peasant atoms in Gari-gombo, Kentzou, Bafia, Mbalmayo and Mbangassina; 256 peasant atoms targeted in the East (Bélabo), Centre (Obala, Bafia) and West (Bazou).

Community dialogue
Awareness-raising with traditional chiefdoms in the East (Ngoutou, Konga, Tikondi…) on the importance of land management.

Capacity building
Leadership, management and institutional development workshops for national and regional managers.

Donation of school supplies and teaching materials to the Saint Sébastien Catholic primary school in Lablé (Bafia).

Continued rollout
Continued registration of peasant atoms and restructuring of governance to optimise action in the field.

Submission of the accreditation file, approval as an NGO and fitting out of the new head office premises.
